I would like your feedback

Hello.  I have remastered For Squirrel's 1994 release "Baypath Rd" for myself and would like to share it with you.  Especially those of you who have a copy of the original, please provide feedback here as to any major improvements I could make (e.g. volume consistency, too much bass, too crisp sounding, etc.).  You can be as technical as you like or explain yourself in everyday terms, but I would like to release this to you ASAP in a hi-def format online, embedded with lyrics and other fun stuff, for you, the fans.  Thanks in advance!

Please download the current (1st) version here:
Download-Link #1: http://rapidshare.com/files/105259952/Baypath_Rd_Remaster_2008v1.zip.html

Also, let me know if it doesn't work for some reason & I'll repost.
Oh yeah, If anyone could send me a lossless version of "Burning Coals" and/or "Van Gogh" I'd be forever indebted and will probably be inclined to remaster them as well!

Current Mood: Anticipatory

I have a copy of Van Gogh. What does lossless mean and how can I send the copy to you?

Re: lossless
A "lossless" compressed file allows the exact original data to be reconstructed from itself.
Meaning, the audio does not degrade at all when compressing the file, unlike an MP3, which is lossy. Some Examples of lossless file types are .WAV, .FLAC, .ZIP, .RAR

If you are extracting a track from a CD on a PC, I suggest using Exact Audio Copy http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/en/index.php/resources/download/
When setup for Secure Mode Extraction (Drive Options), it will read the data at least twice to check itself against errors and re-read if necessary to get an accurate rip. Extract your track to .WAV

From here, compress the WAV file to achieve any of the previous file type examples (e.g. WINRAR,
FLAC Frontend http://flac.sourceforge.net/). The whole point of compression is to drastically reduce the file size for transport & storage. Lossless compression typically reduces file size by 1/2!

After your WAV file is compressed (changing to FLAC, RAR, etc), upload it on any filesharing host and post the link here. Here are some good places to upload to: http://rapidshare.com/ http://www.yousendit.com
Be patient when uploading, as a 10 MB file will take several minutes to complete and rapidshare has no status bar.

Good luck!
